"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl.

Then I say, ‘Bitch, you’re Lady GaGa, you get up and walk the walk today" -

GaGa

Thank god for the crazy. What would fashion be without the all the GaGas of the world? Those who just simply put, wear whatever the hell they want. Not only are they imperative to the continuous evolution of fashion, but are also a lovely reminder to the rest of the world that there is more to life than normalcy. Their creativity is undoubtedly inspiring; literally in that they've spawned numerous copy-cats and chain store collections, and conceptually in that when getting dressed in the morning it's kind of nice to think of people like GaGa and Swinton and think hey, I might just try something a little different today.

Margherita Missoni

tumblr, style.com

Wouldn't you love to be Margherita Missoni for a day? I mean who else looks looks like a goddess with a starfish stuck on their head? She is the queen of mixology, and while her outfits aren't necessarily conventional, she pulls them off with such aplomb that would entice even the most devout minimalists to try a print.

wouldn't it be nice...

"I think I'll go to Boston...
I think I'll start a new life,
I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,
I'll get out of California, I'm tired of the weather,
I think I'll get a lover and fly him out to Spain...
I think I'll go to Boston,
I think that I'm just tired
I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,
I hear it's nice in the Summer, some snow would be nice"

formal

I think I've posted about it before (yes, I am that lazy that I can't be bothered to check), but my formal is coming up and I need a dress. All the dresses I've seen are either a gazillion dollars or hideously, vomit inducingly ugly. Thus, I've come to the conclusion that I will get one made and have been looking for some inspiration...
